Send a purchase order
Mark a draft order as sent once you've placed it with your supplier.
When you've placed the order with your supplier — by email, phone or their own portal — mark it Sent in Tillable so you know it's on the way. Sending doesn't do anything to your stock; it's a status flag with a date. (On multi-location accounts the order already remembers which location it was created for — sending doesn't change that.)
Note
Inventory must be switched on for your account for this to appear.
Mark it sent
- 1
Open the Orders tab
On the Purchasing page, pick Orders. A new order starts as a Draft.
- 2
Click Send on the order's row
There is no extra dialog — clicking Send moves the order straight to Sent and stamps the order date.
What sending does — and doesn't do
- It does move the order's status to Sent and record the send date so you can tell which orders are with a supplier and which are still drafts.
- It doesn't email the supplier for you. Send the order to your supplier through whichever channel you normally use (export the To buy list, phone, their web portal), then mark it Sent here.
- It doesn't change your stock. Stock only moves when you receive the order — see Receive a purchase order.
