Sales and transactions — overview

How sales work end to end — review them in the portal, act on them (refunds, receipt resends) on the terminal.

This is the map for everything to do with the sales your terminals take — where to read them, search them, and what you can and can't do with a past sale.

The single most useful thing to understand up front: the portal is your back office for reviewing sales, and the terminal is where you act on them. You read, search and export sales here in the portal. Refunds and receipt resends happen on the terminal — the device that took the payment. That split surprises people mid-task, so it's worth knowing before you go looking for a refund button that isn't here.

Review in the portal

  • The sales log (Reports → Transactions) — every sale your terminals took, with search, sorting, paging and export. Open any sale to read its full breakdown, including split bills and gift-card use.
  • Offline card closes — the review list of tables closed as "Paid on device" while a till was offline.

If you use Staff and have switched on staff sign-in, each sale also shows who was signed in when it was taken.

Note

There is no refund screen and no receipt-resend button in the portal today. If you came here looking for one, that's expected — both live on the terminal. The articles above tell you exactly where.
