Manage collect orders

The Click and collect order list for the day — see incoming orders, cancel one, and read its state.

The main Click and collect screen is your order list for the day. The header shows the date, the number of live orders, and the unsettled total. Use the date controls to move between days.

What each row shows

Each live order shows the pickup time, the customer's name (or "Walk-up"), the item count and total, and its state. Contact links let you email or call the customer.

You settle each order at the till when the customer arrives — see Settle a collect order at the till.

If the customer left a note with their order, it shows on the row in quotes, under the contact links. It is one note for the whole order — where they are, how to find them, an occasion — and it only appears if you have switched on Let guests add a note.

Heads up

A note is not an allergy declaration. Allergies are their own question at checkout with their own handling; anything typed in the note box has been through no allergy check. If someone writes about an allergy there, ask them.

Order states

Each order shows one of these:

  • Open — the order is in and waiting for the customer. Every order starts here.
  • Bill requested — payment is being taken at the till. The bill has been brought up but the payment hasn't completed; it's still a live order. This happens at the till, not from this screen.
  • Settled — paid and complete. It moves into the Settled section lower down.
  • Cancelled — the order was cancelled. It moves into the Cancelled section.

You can Cancel an order from this screen (you'll be asked to confirm). Settling and taking payment, though, happen on the till.
