The collect page
What customers see on your public click-and-collect page, and how their orders reach you.
The collect page is the public web page customers use to order for
collection. It lives at the address you set in
setup, like /collect/your-venue.
It uses your branding — your name, logo, cover image and colours.
The web address
Each journey has its own address:
- Click & collect —
/collect/your-address - Collect now —
/collect-now/your-address
Older Collect now links that still point at /collect/ keep working: they
forward to the new address automatically, keeping anything after it intact. So
printed QR codes and confirmation emails you've already sent are safe.
The browser tab
The tab reads your site's name, then the journey — Camden Lock: Click & Collect, or Camden Lock: Collect now for a Collect now page. The tab icon
is the logo on the branding profile that page uses, so a customer with several
tabs open can tell your venue apart at a glance.
Two things decide what appears there, and both are settings you already have:
- The site name is the location's business name, from Locations — not its nickname, which stays internal. A venue with one site shows that site; if no site can be resolved for the page, the tab falls back to your merchant name.
- The icon is the logo on the branding profile linked to that page. Set no logo and the tab keeps the browser's default — the name still works.
Both need the new guest ordering journey switched on for your account. On the older page the tab shows the generic Tillable name instead.
What the customer does
The page walks the customer through a short flow:
- Browse the menu — items with photos, descriptions and any options, plus a popular row. They add items to a basket. A drink you've priced by size (pint or half, wine by the glass or the bottle) asks for the size first — see Drink sizes — and each size shows its own price, not an extra on top.
- Review the basket — they open Your order to check items and change quantities, then tap Choose collection time.
- Pick a collection time — they pick a time slot for today. Click and collect takes orders for the same day only, so there's no date to choose and a customer can't order for tomorrow or later. The slots shown follow your opening hours and your lead-time and cutoff settings, so once today's last slot has passed there are no times to pick until tomorrow.
- Enter their details — name and email are required; phone is optional.
- Place the order — the button shows the total they'll pay on collection, for example "Place order — pay £12.50 on collection".
When they're done they see an Order confirmed screen with the pickup time, the total, and a note that payment is at the till. A confirmation is sent to their email, with a link to cancel.
If they didn't leave an email address, that screen offers to send one: Email me a receipt opens a box for their address, and pressing send emails them the same confirmation, cancel link and all. Nothing changes for you, and nothing reaches your kitchen or your till differently. Customers can do this a few times per order, in case they mistype the address, and only while the order is still recent.
Note
There's no online payment step. The customer never enters card details — the "Place order" button only confirms the order. They pay the full total at the till on collection.
Make your menu look its best
The collect page shows each item with its photo, description and any options. A photo and a short description aren't required, but they make a real difference to how appealing your page looks and how confidently customers order — so they're recommended for anything you sell for collection. You add both on the item itself; see Create a product. Items with no photo still appear, just with less to catch the eye.
How orders reach you
A submitted order appears in your Click and collect order list for that day, ordered by pickup time — see Manage collect orders.
Based on your Fire to kitchen ahead setting, the order reaches the kitchen either straight away or a set number of minutes before pickup — see Collect orders in the kitchen.
If your page is turned off, or the link is wrong, customers see "Online ordering isn't available right now" and are asked to contact you directly. See Troubleshooting.
What's next
- Item availability on the collect page — when items appear and when they don't.
- Set up click and collect — your address, on/off and opening hours.
- Settle a collect order at the till — take payment when the customer arrives.
