Order & Pay — how customers pay

Choose whether a QR order is paid at the till or from the customer's phone, and what "pay from phone" needs.

In the QR ordering settings, the Order & Pay section controls how a QR order is paid.

The two options

  • Pay at the till (the default) — the customer's order is added to the table and your staff take payment as normal.
  • Pay from the phone — the customer pays on their own device. This needs your online-payments account connected; the settings here let you connect it and choose the test or live environment.

Pick whichever suits your service. Use test to try it, live to take real money.

Connecting your online-payments account

Choosing "pay from the phone" reveals three fields. Their values come from your Tillable payments account (formerly yetipay) — the online-payments account you log into separately, not this portal.

  • Site ID — the site UUID, a long code that looks like 9f2b6c1e-7d84-4a3f-b6a2-5c0e1d47a8b3. This is the one people get wrong: it is not your store reference (the YOURBUSINESS_YOURVENUE style name). Paste the UUID, or payments will be refused when a customer tries to pay.
  • API key and Webhook HMAC key — paste each one once. They're stored securely and never shown again, so leaving a key field blank when you next save keeps the one already stored.

If the Site ID isn't a UUID, saving now tells you so straight away rather than letting the problem surface at the first payment.
