A shortcode is a QR link that isn't tied to a specific table — useful for a flyer, a poster, or a venue with no table layout. You manage shortcodes on the QR ordering settings page, separately from per-table codes.
Use a per-table code when the order should land on a specific table (so staff see it in the right place); use a shortcode for general "scan to order" that isn't about a particular table.
