Add or take away a customer's loyalty points
Give a customer loyalty points by hand, or take some away, as a goodwill gesture or to put right a visit that was not counted.
You can add loyalty points to a customer, or take some away, from their record. It needs loyalty to be switched on for your account.
Add points to a customer
- 1
Open the customer
Go to Customers and click their name. If you do not have Customers in your menu, go to Loyalty → Members and click their name instead.
- 2
Press Add or take away points
It is in their Loyalty box.
- 3
Choose, count and give a reason
Under What are you doing? choose adding or taking away. Type How many points, and a Reason, then confirm.
The reason is required. It is saved in their points history for good and cannot be edited afterwards, so write something a colleague will understand later, such as "Missed visit on Friday" or "Sorry for the wait".
Good to know
- One change at a time. After a change the window shows what happened and offers only Close, so a double tap cannot add the points twice.
- Nobody goes below zero. If you try to take away more than they have, you are told and nothing changes.
- The customer must be a loyalty member. If they have not joined, there is nothing to add points to yet.
- The AI assistant cannot do this for you. Changing someone's points is always your own click.
