Archive and restore customers

Tidy your active list by archiving a customer — they're never deleted, and you can restore them anytime.

Archiving moves a customer out of your active list without deleting them. It's a tidy-up, not a delete — an archived customer is kept in full and can be brought back at any time.

CRM must be switched on for your account — see Set up CRM for your account.

Archive a customer

  1. 1

    Open the customer

Click their name on the Customers list to open their detail page.

  2. 2

    Click Archive

The Archive button is in the top-right of the detail page.

  3. 3

    Confirm

Click Confirm archive. They leave the active list and pick up an Archived badge.

Find and restore an archived customer

Archived customers don't show in the normal list. To see them, click View archived (top right of the Customers list). To bring one back, open them and click Restore — one click, no confirm.

What archiving does and doesn't do

  • It's a soft delete — the record, its history, notes, tags and custom fields are all kept. Nothing is ever permanently removed.
  • Archived customers are still matched for bookings and gift cards by email, so their history stays intact.
  • If you sync to HubSpot or Salesforce, a full re-sync (Sync now) reflects the archive. A contact already pushed to your CRM may need removing there by hand — see CRM troubleshooting.
