CRM overview
Start here — what the CRM area covers, and where each guide sits.
The CRM area is your customer database — every person who's done business with you, in one list. Customers is always there (read-only by default), and the CRM add-on turns it into a full address book with imports, custom fields, segmentation and a sync to HubSpot or Salesforce.
Where to start
- Not sure if CRM is on? — Set up CRM for your account.
- The customer list — Customers.
- Add someone or edit their details — Add or edit a customer.
- See a customer's full picture — View a customer's profile and history.
- Who's on your loyalty scheme? — members are marked in the customer list and on their profile; the full list lives on Loyalty.
- Bulk-load contacts — Import customers from CSV.
- Find people fast — Search, filter and segment.
- Tag a group of people in one go — tick them, then Add tag: Customers.
- Tidy the list — Archive and restore customers.
Custom fields
- Custom fields — add your own fields to every customer.
- Allergen and occasion fields — flag safety alerts and celebrations.
- Edit or delete a custom field.
Sync out to marketing
Your own custom fields can go out too, one at a time: each field has a Send to my marketing CRM switch, off by default, so you choose what your marketing tools see. Safety alerts are the exception — allergy and dietary information is health data and is never sent.
- CRM Sync — overview and how it works.
- Connect and sync to HubSpot.
- Connect and sync to Salesforce.
When things go wrong
- CRM troubleshooting — sync errors, missing values, imports.
- CRM — common questions — short answers to the questions that come up most.
