Connect Claude to your data
Ask questions about your sales from your own Claude. Connect it from the Marketplace, paste the link into Claude, and switch it off any time.
If you use Claude, you can connect it to your sales data so it can answer questions about your business. Tillable gives you a private link to paste into Claude. There is no separate password or token to fill in.
For the chat built into Tillable, see AI Reporting. To use ChatGPT instead, see Connect ChatGPT to your data.
Both read the same reports, so anything the in-portal chat can answer, your own Claude can answer too. That includes narrowing a question by menu section, time of day, day of the week or how the order was placed, and combining those in one go ("how many Starters have we sold each week this year?"). The full list of what you can ask is in AI Reporting.
Where to find it
In the sidebar, open Marketplace → Discover and press the Claude card. The Claude page has two tabs: Overview (what it does and how to set it up) and Connection (your links).
Only the account owner or an admin can connect Claude. Everyone else sees the page and its links read-only, with the line "Ask your account owner to connect Claude."
Connect and paste the link
- 1
Press Connect Claude
On the Claude page, press Connect Claude. Tillable makes a private link for your venue and opens the Connection tab.
- 2
Copy it now
The link is shown once. Press Copy link straight away. For security it is never shown again. If you lose it, press New link to make another.
- 3
Add it in Claude
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Paste the link into Remote MCP server URL and press Add. Leave the Advanced fields empty.
- 4
Ask away
Start a new chat in Claude and ask about your venue.
Connected or Link ready?
The Claude page, and the Claude card on the Marketplace, show one of three things:
- Not connected: you have no Claude link.
- Link ready — not used yet: you have made a link, but Claude has not asked anything with it yet. If you have pasted it into Claude and still see this, ask Claude a question about your venue: it changes on the first answer.
- Connected · last used …: Claude has used your link to read your reports, and this is when it last did.
Your Claude and ChatGPT links are separate. Connecting one never makes the other say Connected.
You do not need to reload the page after connecting: it changes to Link ready on its own.
Figures in pounds
Links made from the Marketplace end in &units=gbp, and Claude is given every
amount in pounds.
Heads up
Links made before 26 September 2026 do not end in &units=gbp, and they give
Claude amounts in pence. Claude can then read £14.50 as £1,450. If your link
does not end in &units=gbp, press New link, replace the link in Claude
with the new one, and revoke the old one.
On the Connection tab, any link made before 26 September says so on its own row: Made before 26 Sept. This link reports amounts in pence. That is the one to replace.
Keep the link safe
Heads up
The link works like a password. Anyone with it can read your sales data. If you think it has been shared by mistake, revoke it on the Connection tab and make a new one. The link is read-only: it can never change your menu, prices, bills or payments.
No daily limit on the connector
The in-portal chat has a shared allowance of 50 assistant questions a day (see AI Reporting). Asking from your own Claude through a connector link does not come out of it. You are using your own Claude subscription, so ask as much as you like.
Let it suggest changes (30 days)
On some accounts the Connection tab also shows Let it suggest changes (30 days). Press Make a suggest link and add that link to Claude the same way. With it, Claude can suggest a change — a new discount, a renamed category, a fact to remember — as well as answer questions.
- Nothing changes until you approve it. Each suggestion comes back as an approval link. Open it in Tillable to see exactly what would change, then approve or reject it.
- It stops working after 30 days. Make a new one if you still want it.
- Revoke it on the Connection tab like any other link.
If you do not see the option, your account is not set up for it yet.
Managing and revoking access
The Connection tab lists your Claude links, when each was made and when it was last used. Press Revoke on any you no longer need: that link stops working straight away. Disconnect at the top of the page revokes every Claude link at once.
Owners and admins also see Other access links, folded shut under the list. These are older access links, usually left behind by the in-portal chat, that can still read your reports. Revoke any you do not recognise.
