Terminal history — your card takings from before the till

Your Tillable payments card-terminal takings from before your till launched, day by day, brought into Reports so your records go all the way back.

Terminal history shows the card takings from your Tillable payments card terminals before your Tillable till went live. Tillable payments held that trading history; this report brings it into your portal so your records are complete — you can see how the venue traded from day one, not just from the day the till arrived.

Where to find it

If yours is a donations account, open Terminal history from the Reports hub (under Sales & takings). For every other account it is no longer a tile on the hub, but the report itself is unchanged: open it from the link in your emailed sales summary, or go straight to /reports/terminal-history in your portal. Either way it needs the feature enabled for your account and a Tillable payments External API key set up for you.

What each row shows

One row per terminal trading day, newest first:

  • Takings — the card takings that day (tips included).
  • Tips — the tips element of those takings.
  • Refunds — refunds processed that day.
  • MOTO — mail-order / telephone-order takings, if any.
  • Txns — how many card transactions.

A summary strip above the table totals the days, takings, tips and transactions across the whole history.

If you trade from more than one site

When you have more than one site, each row also shows the Location it was taken at, and a Location filter sits above the table. Pick a site to see only that venue's terminal days — the summary strip narrows with it, so the totals always describe exactly the rows you can see.

Some older days show — instead of a site. Those are days Tillable payments sent us before your sites were set up separately, so we genuinely don't know which venue they belong to — rather than guess, we leave them unattributed. They're included in All locations and left out when you pick a specific site.

Note

A terminal day runs 05:00–05:00 UTC, which is how Tillable payments closes each trading day — so a late night's takings sit on the day the session started, matching your terminal's own end-of-day.

Where it stops

Terminal history covers the days before your till's first sale. From your till's launch day onward, your trading is in your normal reports (Sales, End of Day and the rest), so the two never overlap or double-count.

Getting it set up

Terminal history needs a Tillable payments External API key configured for your account. If you'd like your pre-till history brought in, contact support and we'll set it up — the days then appear automatically after the nightly sync.
