Opening hours
Build reusable opening-hours profiles, set each location's standard hours, and add special-day overrides.
Opening hours work as reusable profiles. You build a named schedule once — for example "Standard", "Brunch" or "Late" — then pick it for each location, booking setup and collection. Find it under Store settings → Opening hours.
Building hours once and reusing them means you change a profile in one place and everything pointing at it updates. You don't re-enter hours per location.
Create an hours profile
- 1
Open Opening hours
From the sidebar, go to Store settings → Opening hours.
- 2
Click New profile
Give it a name (e.g. Standard, Brunch, Late). You'll add the hours next.
- 3
Add the shifts
Click the profile to expand it. Set a start and end time, optionally name the shift (e.g. Dinner), and pick the days it applies to — use Every day, Weekdays or Weekends, or tap individual days. Click Add hours. A day can have more than one shift, for example a lunch shift and a dinner shift. Days with no shift show as closed.
A profile's row shows how many shifts it has. Use the pencil icon to rename it and the bin icon to delete it.
Overnight hours
If a shift runs past midnight — say you open at 6pm and close at 2am — set the end time earlier than the start time. The editor recognises this and notes the shift "ends next day".
Set your standard hours per location
Once you have at least one profile, a card below the profiles lets you pick the standard profile for each location. If you have one location it reads "Your opening hours"; with more than one it lists each location so you can give them different standard hours. Choosing "Not set (closed)" means that location has no standard hours.
Special days
The Special periods section lets you override your standard hours for a date range — bank holidays, a festive period, a one-off closure. Add a period by picking the location, the hours profile to use for those dates (or a closed profile), and the start and end dates. During that range the special period applies instead of the standard hours; outside it, the standard hours apply.
Tip
Make a profile called something like "Closed" with no shifts, and use it for special periods when you're shut for a day or two.
Hours for a menu
A menu can use an hours profile too — the days and times that menu is on. That is set on the menu itself (Settings → When this menu shows); see When a menu shows. If you delete a profile a menu uses, the delete message names the menu: it loses its hours and goes back to working as it did before.
Coming here from the bookings checklist
If you opened this page from Get started with bookings, a black bar sits across the top with a button back to that checklist. Press it whenever you like — anything already saved stays saved. Opening this page any other way leaves it exactly as it is, with no bar.
Which hours do bookings use?
Coming here from the bookings checklist, you are also asked which hours your booking setups follow. Answer it once here and the setup shows your choice rather than asking again.
Setups follow your location's hours unless you point one at a profile — useful when the bar takes bookings at hours the kitchen does not. You can change it later on the setup itself.
What's next
- Booking setups and click-and-collect pick an hours profile on their own pages, so a profile you build here is reusable across them.
- Set the locations your hours apply to.
