Multi-level floor plans (upstairs / downstairs)
Use one floor plan per level, not one plan with multiple sections — with a worked example.
If your venue has more than one level, use a separate floor plan for each level — not one plan with multiple sections. A floor plan is a single canvas, so it can't show "upstairs" and "downstairs" as distinct areas on its own.
Sections (Bar, Dining room) organise tables within a level; levels are different plans.
Worked example — a two-floor restaurant at one location
- 1
Ground floor plan
Create a floor plan named "Ground floor", assigned to your location. Lay out the ground-floor tables on it.
- 2
Upstairs plan
Create a second floor plan named "Upstairs", assigned to the same location. Lay out the upstairs tables on it.
- 3
Optional sections
Use sections like "Bar" and "Window" to group tables within each plan.
Both plans belong to the same location, so they appear together (grouped by location) on the Floor plans list, and staff move between them on the terminal. Reorder the plans by dragging so the level staff use most sits first.
